Hello! I hope you all had a great weekend and a decent Monday! I did! Today is our Friday here! No school tomorrow! Yeah! Although I'm sure this time tomorrow I'll be up making sure I didn't forget anything for our road trip! Anyway I did get some stamping/creating done over the weekend. This is for a class I am teaching at my LSS next month. Tell me what you think! The first pic is of all five of them together. The following pics are of them individually with details of supplies used. This one is made using my new Top Notch die from SU! The paper is from Bo Bunny. The Tree stamp is Unity! I paper pieced the two little trees, the larger tree has glitter on the dots. Also used: large eyelet, crop-a-dile, ribbon (from M's), and Sakura glaze pen.
This is the backside of the one above. The swirls stamps are Unity, Merry Christmas is from MUSE. Also used; white gel pen, glitter.

This star is a Bazzill Chip. I tore strips of Bo Bunny's paper and adhered with Mod Podge. Inked edges. The Happy Holiday's stamp is from Autumn Leaves. I applied Glassy Accents to the little bird at the top. Also used, large eyelet, crop-a-dile, ribbon, pop dots, and rhinestones.

This is one of my faves! Looks so much cuter in real life! The dogtag shape is a Bazzill chip. The Reindeer stamp is from Unity. The background (looks pink) was made using re-inkers and a samll mini mister bottle and pearl-ex, I made my own glimmer spray! Love it! Also used, a strip of material (torn), twine, bells, and gel pens.

This also looks better in real life. This gorgeous stamp is also from Unity stamped on Paper House Productions Twill sticker sheet and cut out. The cardstock is Bazzill, patterned paper is Bo Bunny. Also used: large eyelets, crop-a-dile, twill ribbon, staples, catseye ink and scallop edge scissors.

This tag is made from a sheet of adhesive backed Cork. The stamp is Unity! Also used: gel pens, catseye ink, scallop punch and ornament hanger found at M's.

Thanks for looking! Most of the supplies used are from my LSS Combat Creations! Unity stamps can be found here.
Have a great day and in case I don't get a chance to post again, Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Growing in Unity Day 4 Hip Hop Style!

HIP HOP!!! Unity Thursdays Rock! If you are not sure what I'm talking about click here. Most of you already know and am an addict like I am and look forward to the sneak peeks and special sales that enable to buy more and more! I'm not complaining just stating fact! Ok enough already right? You want more projects? Here you go:
Please bear with my not so awesome picture taking skills, taking pics fo cards is hard enough but trying to get a whole layout was tough! I have been working on this layout for over a month! I just kept thinking I was missing something but I think it's as good as it is going to get. Supplies used: Prism cardstock, patterned paper I forget!, grunge board, prima flowers, DMC floss for stitching, brads, versamark and Stampin' Up! ink, the stamps of course are Unity: Me, Myself an I single that I won at my very first HIP HOP!, Cuter than Most, Happy is from the Fall Festival set, Romantic is from the Growing in Unity set and the adorable owls and swirls in the bottom right corner and top left corner of picture (yes I cut those out by hand) came from the October Kit of the Month. Close up: I paper pieced the I and colored in the Owls with a mix of my water color pencils and my Souffle pens.
Close up of swirls and stips: edges of strips are torn and stamped with various stamps listed above. The swirls are stamped with Versamark and parts colored with gel pens.

The stitching was hand-sewn, the swirls were cut out by hand, the flower is felt with an orange brad in center.

Isn't this the cutest little Deer ever? This adorable little Deer is from the November Kit of the Month from Unity. I woke up at 5:30 yesterday morning with this idea in my head. I knew when I saw the sketch challenge SC202 exactly what stamp I wanted to use. The supplies: cardstock is Bazzill, patterned paper is October Afternoon, brads, twine, water color pencils, aqua pen, square punches and edge distressor. This stamp is from the Biker Alley Unity set. Being that my husband is a Marine I knew this stamp would be perfect for my scrapbook. The rest of the set, not so much. So I asked Angela if I could get this as a single and she graciously sent it to me with one of my orders! She rocks! It is a very large stamp so it's perfect for Scrapbooks, for cards I needed to make it a jumbo card! The other stamps are from Legacy Stamps, DRS and Stampin' Up! What a mix huh, but they all work great together! The cardstock is Kraft from Bazzill, the patterned paper is from Combat Creations.

I flocked the yellow ribbon and three black brads in the bottom corner. So don't forget to join us in the HIP HOP forums today! I will be giving my blog candy away later today, so check back! Today's comments will be included in my drawing! Thanks again for all the kind words and feedback on my creations! You all are the best! Have a great day!

Growing In Unity Day 3

Growing in Unity Day 3! Wow this week is flying by! Thanks again for all your wonderful comments, it is such a boost to my ego! Today's first project is very special to me. For those of you that don't know my husband is a Marine and he does deploy quite a bit. Some longer than others. When he was gone in October (not far and not long), we were able to text each other. So one night I had asked him to write me a poem. It was short but very, very sweet. I then told him I needed one a week for every week he was away from me. So far Ihave three poems and will be expecting more when he deploys again. I had to treasure them by making this cute little book to write them into but they won't hold too many so I'll have to make more. Anyway here goes:

The cover is using Basic Grey's Urban Prarie paper, no stamping on the cover, just letters cut out on the Cricut. The tag on the side is grunge board, inked up.
This is the inside of the front cover. I stamped So & So Loves and the grass (not sure of name or what kit it came in). The next page I stamped the Details image and hand wrote info. This stamp is part of the Our Life, Our Stories kit.

Detail pic: The heart in the center is shiny, I used Diamond Glaze.

Page 4: I used the little Mushrooms and the brown tag from the Our Life, Our Stories kit. The stamped ribbon strip is part of the October KOTM.

This last project is for a certain special someone, I can't say who but you will love it! The mini book is the Meander book, instructions from SCS here. The paper again is from Basic Grey's Urban Prarie. The Butterflies are punched out but I stamped a swirl image from the Growing In Unity kit. They are stamped on textured paint chips that I got from the HD store (they look like sand paper) using Staz-On ink. Good Times image is from the Oct. KOTM and is embossed in white.

Once again I hope you enjoy today's projects. I promise I will have more tomorrow for HIP HOP! Please leave me some love if you want to be in the drawing for my Blog Candy tomorrow! Have a great day!

Growing in Unity Day 2!

Thank you for all your wonderful comments on my Day 1 of Growing in Unity post! This is so much fun and it's making me use my stuff I've been hording! Plus I'm getting a great start on making RAK's to send to my friends on the Unity RAK group.
Thanks to Ravengirl for knowing the Home stamp I used yesterday came from Unity's Tiny Trinity set!

Begin Day 2:
This card was made using a sketch from Queen Kat which I found here on Maria's blog. This is a great sketch! Products used: paper: Creative Imaginations, Bazzill, and Sassafras; Ink: Stampin' Up! Basic Brown and Catseye chalk ink Chestnut Roan. Unity stamps: October KOTM. Extras: brad from SU!, Souffle gel pen, ribbon and mini stapler. (Sorry the picture is not clear)

These next two mini cards I had to whip up for two Birthday parties my girls attended this past weekend. The yellow with the Polka dots from Creativie Imaginations Birthday line is using the Birthday stamp from the new kit Our Life, Our Stories. I got this in the mail on Saturday and was so excited that I have used it a lot already! Stay tuned tomorrow for more using this set! The cake stamp is from Little Labels 2.
The second card is also using the Birthday stamp from above and the Happy is from Fall Festival that was on special this past HIP HOP! How many of you bought it? I had it from before and I love this set as well! (I love all UNITY stamps in case you couldn't tell!)

Now for my favorite card and stamp! The Dream tree from Growing in Unity set, is now sold as a single, but the whole set is wonderful!
I stamped the tree using Stampin' Up! Basic Black directly on the patterned paper from Crate Paper (also a fave!). All the little hearts were cut out by my Cricut, edges inked up, then popped up with foam dots. Then I stamped Yours on the bottom (also from Growing in Unity set) and tied black hemp on side in a knot and adhered a larger heart. Simple but elegant! I love it!

Thanks for checking out my Day 2 creations! I could have added so many more pictures but I didn't want to overdo it! Stayed tuned for Day 3! Don't forget about the Blog candy I'll be giving away on Hip Hop Thursday to one of you lucky ladies who leave me some love!

Growing in Unity Day 1

Yeah! It's day 1 of my Growing in Unity Day by Day originated by the lovely Ramsey. Each week a Unity Addict has a turn at highlighting Unity all week long. It's sort of a blog hop were each week there will be a new person in the spotlight to show you some awesome Unity projects. Last week Maria wowed us with her wonderful creations.

I have some great projects planned to show you all this week. I've been busy planning and I hope you enjoy them as much as I loved making them!

Ok, here we go:

Again, using my favorite paper, Cosmo Cricket Happy Camper, I made this card for a friend that just moved into her new house not too long ago. The Cottage stamp is from Unity's October KOTM. I colored the Cottage with my watercolor pencils and aquapen. The Home stamp is from which set? I can't remember and am being too lazy to go check. I'll let you know tomorrow! Of course I distressed all the edges with my Heidi Swapp edge distressor and inked them with catseye chalk ink. The base of the card is Kraft Cardstock, also used are Bazzill Salsa Verde and African Daisy.

For my Owl obsession I had to get Fluffy the Owl single. Same paper line as above, CC Happy Camper. Hoo's the best line is made using some Stampin' Up alphas. I hand cut Fluffy and then attempted to make my own glimmer mist but the spray ended up getting clogged up and was coming out in large blobs. So fluffy is spotted instead! Also used: Souflee white pen, paper piercer, ribbon and googlie eyes. I didn't take a picture of the inside before I sent to my boss for being the bestest boss ever! The inside says: OWL bet you are!

Oh yeah, don't forget to leave me some love in my comments as I will be giving away some blog candy on Hip Hop Thursday! What's HHT? See here!

Thanks for checking out my first day of Growing in Unity, Day by Day, All week long! Have a wonderful day and I'll have more tomorrow!

HIP HOP HANGOVER Blog Blast!

Here are the cards I made for the HIP HOP challenges and also how I store my unmounted red rubber from Unity. I'm thinking of investing in the Rubbah Rack for the wood mounted ones. Right now they are in a tin, lined up but hard to see.

Here we are again! Another awesome HIP HOP Thursday with the Unity group! I was in and out all day yesterday but still had a great time. I was able to participate in the two challenges that Jeanne posted. Tell me what you think? Be sure to leave some love on all the great HIP HOP Hangover blogs listed on Unity's Blog!
Stay tuned for my turn at "Growing In Unity" next week. Check out the little icon in the top left corner of Unity's blog for a link back here (if you are not a follower :)!) I will have some great cards, a layout and possibly some altered items!

Have a great day!
