So my life has been really crazy. Trust me! I won't go into any details but let me just tell you how awesome it is to be creating again! I've missed my supplies and my Unity/Ippity stamps!!!! One of the first things I made for the wall in our kitchen was a frame to match. I LOVE how it turned out and I can't wait until I can make more.

I loved it so much I had to turn it into a card! I've been watching tons of Donna Downey's Inspiration Wednesday videos and am learning so much!

My last card was one I did for the WCMD Unity challenges. I actually made about 20 of the 23 challenges but didn't get them posted in time. Oh well! This one was to stamp on fabric USCWCMD05.

Hello my blog friends! Sorry it's been so long! It's been a little crazy around here but I wanted to share some of the wonderful creations I made at Donna Downey's Inspired weekend! I had a blast and can't wait until next year! Thanks Jenn for inviting me!

This first card I actually made yesterday. I had to use my newest stamps from Unity/Cosmo! Love these images! This card uses stamps from Garden Variety and "Get Scrappy with" Material Girl. I made this card my my DD's teacher. I'm going to attach a gift card to the back of the tag.

This next piece of art was from Suze Weinberg's class. I had a blast learning to play with beeswax! I love how this turned out!

This next piece is a mini journal album. We learned how to create these wonderful roses! I want to make tons of them! Thanks Stephanie for a great class!

This next image is one of my favorite items we created this past weekend. I really loved painting freehand and adding the glass, although time consuming, was relaxing. All that's left to do is to grout it but my DD took it from me the moment I got home and says she LOVES it the way it is! Dara Troshane was the brilliant instructor, thanks Dara!~

Prima, Donna and some Tattered Angles glimmer mist make a great combo! The mini camera bag was fun to do even though it took me forever to get my hands from looking like Elphaba's or Shrek's!

I can't believe my Birthday month is over! Boo-hoo! It was a great month! My next few months are going to be crazy around here! We've got another move coming up. Looking forward to it but not to the added stress! If I'm not actively posting on my blog you'll know why!

FWF and my sister's b-day!

This FWF post is going to be quick so you can make sure you see all the wonderful creations in the HOP! I have two cards to share but only the first one is using Unity! This set is called Sketchy Little Boy. I added distress crackle paint to the dinosaur's body after I colored him then added brown ink on top. The cake stamp comes from Unity's Soirees & Such set.

My second one is using a small sentiment stamp from The Stamps of Life birthday set but I just had to share! I got my inspiration from the latest issue of Paper Crafts!
I also wanted to post a Happy Birthday to my little sis Sarah! I hope you have a wonderful day!

I filled up my previous food journal and needed a new one. This time I just bought an inexpensive mini notebook and decided to alter it. It was a bright green so I decided to paint it first with acrylic paint. Then I used some older paper from my stash to cover the front. I used two {ippity} sets: Love in Return and the sentiment from Where you Should be.

My Birthday FWF!!!

April is a crazy birthday month in my family! I have had to make more birthday cards this month than the whole year put together! It's crazy! Today also happens to be my birthday! This is going to be quick because two of my amazing friends are kidnapping me for the day! I can't wait to see what they have planned! Then tonight is dinner with my hubs and my girls!

My card was made for Unity's Color Challenge with a twist USCCC02.
***Edited to add that the cake image is from Unity's new set Soirees & Such! The Happy and Birthday are from two older Unity kits (can't remember which right now!)

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We did here! It was gorgeous and beautiful! I love Easter and love to give to my nieces and nephews. This year I made some mini candy pouches using {ippity}'s Sweet Thoughts of Spring set! Love this little bunny! Also used were Unity's mini alphabet set. The paper is some old bling cardstock from Bazzill and the patterned paper is Basic Grey.

Hi my {ippity} friends! Sorry for the late post! Issues around here! I won't bore you with details. On to my card for today! I used the set Music of my Heart for the very first time! I know right? Crazy! I love the huge music background stamp!

I tried a new technique! Have you seen the resource page on Splitcoast? It is chock full of amazing techniques and projects! I did the Gesso resist technique. It was fairly easy and the look in real life if beautiful! Hard to see here.

Happy Monday! Happy March 1st! Wow another month down! These next few months are going to be chaos around here! I don't even want to think about it! Ugh!

Anyway on to what you came for, some {ippity} inspiration! My first card uses the same sketch I used the other day for FWF. This paper is part of {ippity}'s Winter paper pack. I love those owls! The {ippity} set used is What Matters Most. I messed up on the placement of the butterfly but still like the way it looks. You just can't read the whole quote unless you move the wings! Oh well.

This next card uses a scrap piece I save from one of my Studio Calico Kits. I needed a masculine birthday card for my brother and needed it quick! This took me less than 10 minutes to make! The Happy Birthday stamp is from {ippity}'s Life's Little Moments.

For today I created two cards using the Unity/Donna Downey set Where You Are. I love how big these images are! This set currently unavailable on Unity's website but you can purchase it at some of the retail stores listed on here. I purchased my set from Limelight Paper Crafts as well as this awesome paper line I used from Crate Paper! It is so pretty and double sided! The Thanks sentiment on this card is from {ippity}'s set Regal Greetings.

My next card is a Birthday card I made for my DD's friend. This butterfly is huge! On both cards the images were embossed in black. Makes them pop! I added some pearls and the Happy Birthday sentiment from The {stamps} of life.

I love Fridays! I'm loving today even more as yesterday was a wonderful day! I had friends over to craft and I received some happy mail! I got my new DSLR camera bag from epiphan!e in! It's huge and I love it! It will fit all my camera needs in it plus my usual purse stuff! Now I don't need to carry two bags around!

On to what I made:

I love making mini books! In my never ending quest to lose weight I am finally seeing a nutritionist to help me make better food choices and I need to keep a food log. I didn't want a plain boring notebook so I decided to make my own with my bind-it-all! Love this little machine! I'm definitely taking one day at a time!

Happy Friday! I am so looking forward to a fun extended weekend! Although I hear it might snow this evening through tomorrow. UGH! This means everything will shut down until they get a handle on it. Snow is not something we are used to around here!

I am so excited to share my projects with you today. My first item is a 5x7 flat canvas piece. I love to work on canvas. Its really simple but so pretty! I sprayed some of my mist over my canvas with a flourish chipboard piece on the side. Let that dry then lifted the chipboard piece off which left me the white flourish on the side. Next I inked up the edges with burnt umber. Then I stamped my images. The flowers and quote are from "The Artist in You" set from Unity and Donna Downey. The little bird is from "Birdie Inspiration" (0ne of my favorite sets!).

Up next is a little soft canvas piece I made. This one is a little more involved. First I stamped the large red heart from Unity's Scrapbook Kit "Unforgettable Moments". Then I stamped the Love postage image from Dec. scrapbook kit in black over that. Then I lay down 2 hearts and sprayed my red mist over it all. Let dry and removed the heats. Sewed the ribbon on the edge then stamped US on fabric and cut it out. Added the rhinestones, large eyelets and ribbon. What do you think?

And lastly, my daughter saw me making these flowers and asked me if I would make four of them for her and her friends to wear in their hair. She wanted to give them ask gifts for Valentine's day! Of course she asked me last night and needed them this morning! It was a late night but I love how they turned out!

Happy Monday! Welcome back to my blog! I have a couple things to share with you! First off is a frame I made for SCS Limited Supplies Challenge: LSC258 I've been Framed! I used a frame I bought at my local craft store for less than $2! Painted it red and then took my brown ink pad directly to the frame to make it look distressed. I stamped the house, tree and quote from {ippity}'s Simply Home set. Added twine and a vintage button I found in my stash.

Next I decided to stamp some hearts (all 3 are from different {ippity} sets!) on white cardstock. Then I sewed some seed beads to the one heart. Kind of a pain but I love the look.

It's Friday already???

Where did the week go? Don't get me wrong, I love that it's Friday but time really is flying by! My friends and I got together earlier this week to get some crafting done and I got absolutely nothing done! I don't know why!!! My mojo was missing as well as most of my supplies! I like to create at home because all my stuff or crap as my husband calls it is within arms reach. I never know what to bring when I go to a friends house. Anyone else have that problem or am I the only one?

Here is something I did get done this week! I love how this turned out and want to make more! I made a shape card for {ippity}'s IHHC8 challenge. I used {ippity}'s Devoted set. My first time using it! I had to order one for myself as I sold my others right away! This is a favorite set! The butterfly was stamped onto shrink plastic.
Because I love making jewelry and have been wanting to do this for some time now, I used a piece of the leftover patterned paper (October Afternoon) to create this charm. I'm not crazy about the leather necklace part though. Instructions for this can be found HERE on SCS!

This past weekend as I was checking out my favorite blogs I came across an adorable card made by Katy and decided to try the same sketch: Limelight Papercrafts Sketch 39. It also said to use canvas and I stamped "Happy Birthday" from {ippity}'s Just wanted to say set on it. I was also able to use up some of my scraps! This card is simple and sweet. Don't you agree?

Hello everyone! Happy Friday! Thanks for stopping in to say hello! I have a lot to show you so I am going to keep my words short and sweet. I've been busy this shortened week. We just got back from our amazing cruise on Tuesday. Loved every single minute of it and we can't wait to do it again! Here's a picture of Dan and I in Nassau Bahamas. I am looking forward to scrapping my pictures as soon as they come in!
On to the good stuff. I've been busy with the Valentine cards! Just love heats so these come easy to me. This first card was using Sketchy Thursdays Second Chance Challenge. Stamp set is Unity's Unforgettable Moments Scrap Kit.

This card was for {ippity}'s Challenge IHHC7 to use black, a neutral and one other color. I used black, white and red. Stamps used here are from {ippity}: Life's Little Moments

I loved this style card so much that I made a mini using my favorite "Kraft" cardstock!

And last but not least this is another mini using lots of hearts and {ippity}'s Straight from the heart set.

Hello!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I did and am even more excited about this up coming weekend! My hubby and I are going on a three day Royal Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas! We are so excited. It's our very first cruise and I'm so looking forward to the warmer weather!

Ok here is what you came for, my {ippity} cards! I was a busy crafter this past weekend. My hubby watched football and I created! Yeah! Guess what else I did??? Last 2009 Friends with Flair!

This week flew by! Busy with Christmas parties, baking, stamping and last minute gift shopping! I'm exhausted!

So this week for our last Friends with Flair of 2009 I have a set of gift cards with a cute little box to put them in. These cards were EPLS as Jen Buck would say! The 3x3 cards themselves I bought and just stamped the frame and words from {ippity's} Just wanted to say set. This set is perfect for this!

The note card holder box instructions can be found here on SCS. They have the best tutorials! I again used a sentiment from "Just wanted to say", the flower is from "Because of you" and the square word piece is from "Life's little moments".

On a side note by daughter had to create an acrostic poem using the words "Merry Christmas" and decorate it nice with pictures. So what does a crafty mom do? She pulls out her stamps! My daughter stamped the letters by herself! These "Alphabetically Adorable" letters are great!

I don't know about all of you but I am exhausted after this past weekend and thinking about what I still need to finish before Christmas is making it worse! Ugh! I need some help! Where are those little elves when you need them? I only have one card to show you today (I made a matching tag but the pic came out blurry and I already gave it away!). I combined two {ippity} sets for this card:

I used Kraft Cardstock (of course!) and scraps of Bo Bunny patterned paper.
The "snow" is liquid applique. I love this stuff!
The hearts and birds are colored with Sakura glaze pens.

Using Eryn's wonderful masking tutorial I made a Valentine's day card! I LOVE how this turned out! The background in the heart is from the set Because of you. The "you stole my heart" quote and mini heart is from Straight from the heart set and the frame is from the set Just wanted to say.

This next card I cased from Deb Felts. I saw this card on Banana Split Sunday Challenges and knew I had to case! I love the simplicity of this! Really it took me less than 15 minutes to make! This card uses Kissmass & Mistletoe and the tree's are from Unity's Batch of Bitty Fun.

And last but not least Christmas Wishes was made for the Limited Supplies Challenge #LSC249. This was tough! Only use white and one other color!

Happy Friday everyone! Wow this month is flying by! I've been busy this week crafting! Yeah! My first project was using SCS's tutorial on this adorable card box holder. I used the color challenge colors for it and love how it turned out! Stamps used are {ippity} love background and little mushroom from the Because of you set. The fairy silhouette is from Unity's Nov. KOTM.

I've also been busy making Tim Holtz 12 tags of Christmas tags! Here I have days one and two. I love learning new techniques! These use different Unity and {ippity} stamps.

So I decided to start making my Christmas/Holiday cards a little earlier than I usually do. This card took me longer than planned so I probably won't be mass producing it! Another HIP HOP Hangover! Whoot Whoot! I was actually able to do both challenge cards yesterday! The first one was a color challenge: use Red, Green and Blue. I used my new August KOTM! Yeah! Love this kit!

For those of you that follow me, thank you so much for sticking with me! Sorry I haven't posted in forever! I took a much needed vacation after my sister's fun but busy wedding! Baby gift for my nephew

I made this gift set for my nephew who is now 7 weeks old! We get to meet him next month! Yeah! My girls and I can't wait. I covered this composition book for my SIL to write down all the little things Anthony does.

These onesies were so easy to do! I stamped on fabric pieces and used fusible webbing to make it stiffer to cut out then ironed it onto the shirts.

I haven't been feeling so great lately! I had strep and just as I was feeling better it decided it was stronger than my antibiotics and came back full force! I am now on a stronger antibiotic and feeling so much better but am still tired! I can't seem to get more that two hours of sleep at a time! I did manage to get some stamping in between fatigue spells. I made these two cards for Unity's Guest DT spot for July. There were some great submissions so I'm sure they'll have a tough decision but I will never make it if I don't try! The challenge was to make a monochromatic card. This was a tough one for me as these stamps scream "COLOR ME!". I may just have to re-do them in lots of colors and patterned paper!

HHH for my Hero

Yesterday's Hip Hop was all about the Heroes in everyone's life. For Hip Hop Hangover it was decided we should write about our Hero. I do have lots of Heroes but my biggest one is my Husband Dan. Wow, where do I start? We have been together for almost 18 years! Married for 15 of those. He is my best friend, my soulmate. We finish each other's sentences, know what the other is thinking! It's scary sometimes. That is why it is so very hard for me when he deploys. He is a United States Marine and very good at what he does! I am very proud of him and I know I don't tell him that enough! We always seem to take for granted many things in our lives but when that main support system in your life is gone you realize just how much you rely on each other. I learned early on that I don't NEED him to survive I just WANT him around! I am a very strong person, (you have to be to get through 4 deployments in 4 years!) but even the strongest person wavers. Even when Dan is gone he seems to know exactly when I need a little extra attention or loving words. Just as I know when he needs things from me. We are almost to our half-way point and to me this is the hardest time. Not there yet, feeling like it's never going to end! I decided to make him a little mini album tin with pictures of me and the girls and his dog Bella. He will love it! Here it is:

The tin I picked up at my LSS, Combat Creations. The paper is all Memories In Uniform also from Combat Creations, they have the best selection of Military supplies for any branch of service! The stamps are a mixture of Unity. I will list them all at the end. This first pic is the front of the tin.

More Challenge Cards

Hi! I hope you all are having a great week! I am! I can't believe it's already Thursday. This week has flown by! Well, my total VSN challenges completed was 13 out of 16! Not bad huh? I am pretty proud of myself. I also completed a CAS challenge on SCS. CAS means Clean and Simple. That is what this next card is. The challenge was to use the colors: black, white and one bold bright. I chose Tempting Turquiose and Unity's bike and smile stamp from one of their new releases Everyday Adorable. The paper is Whisper White and some handmade paper that I had on hand. This next card was for the VSN challenge to use red, black and white. I love how this card looks in real life! The background stamp is Hearts of old, the heart is from another new Unity set CONFESSION i {luv} unity. The pleated ribbon was sewn on.

This card was for the VSN challenge to use embellisments in quantities of 7. The tree and sentiment is from the newest KOTM, another sweet day! I love it! I sewed the edges and added 14 rhinestones!

Blog hop Follow up and VSN creations

I just want to thank all of you that stopped by during Unity's Blog Hop this past weekend and left me such wonderful comments! I have a few more things to share with ya! This first picture is my four mini cards bundled, ready to give as a gift. Again using my scraps! This next pic is of one of the VSN challenges I made. I love VSN! So far I've gotten 8 out of 16 completed! Yeah! This particular challenge was to make a Jr. Legal pad cover. I LOVE how this turned out! Again using my all new fave: Kraft cardstock and Colorbok's Friendly Forest DP and Unity's February KOTM! The cloud was cut out free-hand. Under the button is a magnet to keep the cover closed.

This next card was made for the Glitz, Gleam and Glamour challenge for VSN. Glitter!!! I have glitter everywhere! It looks so pretty in real life! Pics never do anything justice! The bottom I sewed the blue strip of paper to the kraft. The DP is from Heidi Grace. The stamp set is Birdie Inspiration from Unity.

Here are the rest of the cards I made for Unity's Anniversary Challenges. My first card was to use your first Unity set. Giggle Grove was my first and still one of my faves! Supplies: Crate Paper, Stampin' Up! Confetti white, sewing machine, Staz-on Timber Brown.This card was for a Splitcoast Technique Challenge. The background was made using my Cuttlebug and wax paper.

My third card was for the F.I.R.S.T. Challenge to use: flowers, insect, ribbon, scallop and teal or turquoise. The ladybug was shrunk using the shrink plastic and my heat tool!

HIP HOP Hangover~again!

Hip Hop was tons of fun! I won two stamps! It's always more fun when you win right? Well gues what? One of the stamps is a repeat of one I already own! I want to give it away to one of you lucky readers! All you have to do is leave me a wonderful comment and I will radomly choose a winner on Mother's Day! Whoo-hoo! The stamp is a single called Scallop Details & Dates. Perfect for scrapbook pages but is great on cards too!

As most of you know last week was Unity's 1 year Anniversary party! They had lots of games, challenges and giveaways! I made more cards and projects in the past week than I have in the past two months combined. I will spare you all that I made! I'll post a few here and there. Today I will show you what I made for my DD's band teacher and a little mini book I made for my Mom.

These coasters were real easy to do. I used Staz-on inks in the four different colors. There is a great tutorial on SCS on how to do this technique! This is the set all bundled up.
This little mini book I made using scraps of paper I had left over from all the cards I had made this past week. I love this paper from Crate Paper! I added little tabs on the side with staples.

Unity HIP HOP Hangover: Birthday Challenges

I've gotten two of the four challenges completed so far! I plan on completing them all! Thank goodness we have a week to finish each one! Who wouldn't want to win Unity's KOTM free for a whole year? If you don't try, you never will. Check out the challenges here!

My first card is for Jenn Buck's Color Challenge, UACC. The challenge was to use Kraft, Baja Breeze, Ruby Red and So Saffron. Thank goodness I had all the colors! I used Unity's new release Love is Everything! I love this stamp! This sketch came from Wendy!This next card was for Jeanne's One layer Birthday Card Challenge, USAC4. This was a tough one for me but I love the way it came out! I'll have to make more of these! I used Stampin' Up's whisper white cardstock and the stamps from the Owl Always Love You set and the Hullaballo stamp. Also used: shrink plastic, ribbon, and glitter!

I love sketch challenges! The card below is a sketch challenge from Card Patterns which Unity is sponsoring this week! I am going to a birthday party this afternoon for a little boy who loves animals so I pulled out my Wild & Crazy Bunch stamp set from Unity! The Happy Birthday image is from Whimsical Birthday. Paper is Kraft and Creative Imaginations. I sewed and distressed the edges. The inside says: From a Wild & Crazy Bunch!

This next card is for a challenge from CaardVarks! The Challenge was to make a new "tree"-themed card and to link it to their site! My supplies: Kraft ppr, Unity's Carefree Moments Oak.
The Sun and little pinwheel is from Unity's November KOTM! One of my favorite kits! The grass is just green cardstock cut to look like greass. The background was made using the great tutorial from Jeanne on SCS, Sponged Sky! Again I used my sewing machine.

Birthday gifts~last minute of course!

My daughter was going to a movie and dinner with some friends for one of her friends birthday yesterday. It wasn't her party (that is coming up!) but she didn't want to go empty handed. She knew her favorite candies are Smarties but trying to locate them was harder than I thought! We had to to go three different stores! I don't know why I didn't go to Wal-Mart first! Once I found the Smarties I knew I had to put them into something cute. This is what I came up with! Love it! My four DD's all want one of their own and so do all five of my DD's friends! Guess what everyone is getting for their birthday's this year???

Can you tell I love Kraft paper??? I also wanted to use up all my Cosmo Cricket paper so I wouldn't add to my scrap pile! I was able to make all four cards with 2 sheets of Kraft and one sheet of DP! How awesome is that?

Wow, it's been so long since I've posted! Did you all think I ran away? I wish! We did go on a little vacation though. Spent the Easter weekend with my family in Charleston, SC. We had a great time.

Hello! I hope you are all having a great weekend! I know I have even though its been super busy as usual. Well I have a couple of cards for you. Some of you may have seen these on SCS. The first one is a card I made for Unity's challenge 3+3=Unity. You could only use three colors (neutrals don't count) and have less than three layers. I kept mine nice and simple. The star stamp is from Unity's November KOTM. This card was made using SCS222 card sketch. I had leftover Cosmo Cricket scraps and wanted to use them up. I love this card! The inside (no pic) says "everyone needs a little help". The stamps used here are from Unity's You+Me=Happy set.

Yep, it's Friday and that means HIP HOP Hangover!!! I'm not sure how many I've done but I love them! Yesterday was Oh, Baby day HIP HOP so we all changed our SCS Avatars to our baby pics. Here is my baby pic:

Welcome! I hope you all had a great week! I'm so glad its Friday. Plus we have a three day weekend that is very much needed! Onto the good stuff:

This card was made for Unity's No Sour Grapes challenge to use white, black and purple. I needed some Easter cards made so I pulled out Unity's Bitty Easter Blessings set. It's so cute! This card uses Bazzill, Stampin' Up! ink, bleach and ribbon. Easy!

This next card was for Unity Addicts Challenge to use orange, brown, pink and turquoise. Again, another Easter card using the same stamp set as above. Love it! Supplies used here are Bazzill, cuttlebug, pink flock, Stampin' Up! ink and not sure about the patterned paper.
